DUX of Sweden Introduces DUX 8888, the Only Innerspring Mattress in the World with Individual Lumbar Support

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–If you sleep restlessly at night because of nagging pain or discomfort in your lower back, relief may be just a mattress away! DUX of Sweden is introducing its newest model DUX 8888, the only innerspring mattress in the world that provides adjustable lumbar support to improve sleep quality.

The DUX 8888 has a unique mechanical system, controlled by a crank, which adjusts the level of support targeting the lumbar vertebrae. The easily removable crank is inserted at the foot of each side of the bed. The mechanical system can adjust the height of the mattress for a total of one and a half inches by turning the crank up to 15 times. I just found this article and thought it might be of interest to anyone who might still have a nasty smoking habit….like me…and is thinking of purchasing an adjustable bed. Although l do not smoke in the house, I know that there are many people that still do. The startup operates two New York locations and an outpost in Vancouver, British Columbia, and is expanding to Australia and the United Kingdom. It also leases sleep pods to companies offering nap rooms as the latest fringe benefit in a 24/7 world.

MetroNap’s Manhattan store caters to weary Wall Streeters who drop in for $14 siestas.

Some call it the sleep economy - a burgeoning $20 billion business of aromatherapy pillows, high-tech beds, face masks, biorhythmic alarm clocks, and, yes, naps. The market is growing because, frankly, we’re exhausted and sleeping less each year.

The State of West Virginia has reached a settlement with the statewide distributor of Craftmatic adjustable beds and the Arkansas finance company used by Craftmatic. J. Jaz, Incorporated and Dent-A-Med, Inc. will pay a total of $570,000 to settle consumer fraud charges.

Attorney General Darrell McGraw said his office began investigating Craftmatic after it received a large number of complaints about the high-pressure sales tactics Craftmatic uses to sell its beds, which cost an average of $4,000.
