Michael A. Verdicchio's Articles in Religion and Spirituality

  • A Lack of Confidence!
When reading the promises in the Bible, you won't read any legal disclaimer, or expiration dates, or that, "certain rules and conditions may apply." The promises you read in the Scriptures are all true for you to claim right now!
  • Are Weeds Growing In Your Head?
So, if I choose to not plant weeds in my flowerbed or garden, why would I want to plant weeds in my head? The things that I choose to think about and say can and do plant weeds.
  • Are you Hanging in There?
When you ask someone, “How are you doing?” they often answer back, “Oh, I’m hanging in there.” There are times when we are dealing with challenges. But why would we want to admit that the best that we can do right now is just to “hang in there?” Didn’t God promise a lot more?
  • Are You Out of Touch with Reality?
Your current reality is the reality that you have accepted. Your self-esteem and self worth are dependent upon who you think you are at this moment. It may seem to be your reality at this moment, but is it really a false reality?
  • Are You Tired of Your Job?
How do you feel when you come home from work? Frustrated? Fed up? Exhausted? Can't wait to find a new job? Have you found that new job yet? No, you haven't. Therein lies the irony!
  • Based on a True Story
If movies based on true stories can inspire people, just think how much more true stories from the Bible could inspire people if they only accepted them as being true. They could really lift a person's confidence in God to new heights.
  • Can You Control the Price of Gas?
No matter what is going on around you, regardless if the markets are up or down and no matter where the price of gasoline is today, you can choose to accept and believe the promises of God. You can choose to stay focused on God's promises, and then expect to receive.
  • Do You Rely On Luck Or Fate?
I believe in opportunities coming my way. I believe in God bringing people and situations into my life because I have prayed and am expecting those kinds of things to happen on a regular basis. But, do I believe in luck and fate? No thanks!
  • Fantasy
Fantasy is an “imagined event or sequence of mental images, such as a daydream, usually fulfilling a wish or psychological need; an unrealistic or improbable supposition.” Your goals are not a fantasy.
  • Get Up And Get Dressed!
The thoughts that you consistently think will form your belief system, your core beliefs. Our own core beliefs will determine our own circumstances.
  • Got Connections?
There are a lot of people living in self-pity, going around with the, "poor me" attitude. Their talk is always about defeat. Perhaps they have forgotten that we have the best "connection" there is!
  • Have You Failed?
Far too many people look at a set back or a disappointment as a failure and then they just quit. They abandon their dreams, they discard their goals, or they put their plans in a drawer and just quit! You don’t have to!
  • How Do You Define Prosperity?
When it comes to your prosperity, you are the only one who can define it. You decide what you want in your life. Don’t pay attention to those who judge you. It is none of their business!
  • How Much Money Do You Make?
The picture you carry of yourself is what you will see happen in your life. That is the reason some people never move any higher than 10 or 12 dollars an hour. They would love to get an increase, but inside, they see themselves as a 12 dollar an hour earner. Where do you see yourself?
  • How To Get What You Desire
What you focus your mind on is what you will bring into your life. It is a tried and true principle of life that works just like the law of gravity. Some refer to this as a mindset, or core beliefs, or issues of the heart. Whatever you call it, just remember that you have the free will to think any way if you choose to.
  • I'd Be Happy Too If I Were Rich!
The thoughts we think produce our core beliefs, which determines where our lives will be. Perhaps the Bible says it most succinctly, "As he thinks in his heart, so is he!"
  • Is He Wiling?
Believing and accepting God's unconditional love for you, and believing that you are already righteous in His eyes will have a dynamic impact on your acceptance that He is not only able to do for you what He has promised, but that He is also willing to do it for you personally.
  • It Figures!
If you will consistently apply this method over and over, this kind of thinking and corresponding action will replace your current belief system with a new one.
  • Less is More, But Can More Be Less?
The Creator never intended for us to settle! He never intended for us to live a life being "less" than what we could be! His desire is for us to reach our full potentials!
  • Making Choices
Some people believe that God wants us to live life to the fullest! They choose to expand. They learn to deal with their new choices. They refuse to accept an obstacle as a sign that the choice was wrong. They look to God for help and direction on their new path.
  • Self-Talk
You can start today building positive self-talk. It will reduce the stress in your life, give you confidence, and, empower you to living a dynamic life. It is your choice to change negative self-talk into positive self-talk
  • Soar With The Eagles!
It's not the storms in life that defeat us. It is how we respond to the storms that will determine the outcome. Just like the eagle, we can soar high above the storm.
  • Take Charge!
The reason so many people go around in circles in life, is because their thoughts are going around in circles in their minds. Their minds are engaged in wandering, daydreaming and fanaticizing; they never stay focused long enough to allow what they truly desire to come into their lives. Take charge of your life by taking charge of your thinking.
  • The Little Known Secret About Gratitude!
This is the little know secret about "gratitude," how few even recognize it, and yet if they knew it, how much it would impact their lives!
  • The Rat Race
It was never the intention of the Creator for the human race to be a rat race. It was never His intention for people to live with fear and anxiety, or to have no peace. It was not His design for people to spend their days worrying about the daily necessities of life, completely absorbed in trying to earn a living.
  • The Story Of My Life
What comes out of our mouth is indeed an indication of what's inside our hearts. Many times, what we say is an indication of our core beliefs. Take note of what is coming out of your mouth. If it's not positive, then change your thinking and what comes out of your mouth will follow suit. Then the results in your life will then be what you desire them to be.
  • This Economic Mess Just Isn't Fair!
I am convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that our God is both able and willing to help, regardless of the stock market, the housing industry, or, the global economy for that matter.
  • Who Do You See in the Mirror?
"The reason most people are so miserable is that they can't stand themselves." It is sad but so true! There are many people who just cannot stand themselves. I needed to change my perspective.
  • Who Threw the Stone?
God has promised and He has provided. But He is not going to overstep our free will. That means He is willing to do His part but we must also be willing to do our part.
  • Who's In The Driver's Seat?
None of us can escape all the negatives we see and hear every day. But we can choose how we will respond. I don't want my life to be like a little boy in my parent's car, just going along for the ride. I want to be in the driver's seat!
  • Whom Can You Trust Now?
"If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime." I'd like to add to that, "God is big enough to show you where to fish and when to fish!"
  • You Are Not Perfect!
How many people do you know who are perfect and never make a mistake? Thoughts of past failures are very defeating. And, so many times our past failures and mistakes and shortcomings hinder us from receiving God's promises.
  • You Are Not What You Do!
If you base your self worth on what do, what happens to your self worth when you no longer do what you are doing? For example, if you base your self worth on having a really good job, what happens if you loose that job? If more Christians would accept who the Bible says that they are, their self worth would skyrocket! And it would dynamically affect every area of their lives!
